Random thoughts from 17 July 2011
In my previous entry, I mentioned that Sunday was a hectic day for me. But, come to think of it, it actually started off with a rather slow morning.
I woke up, had breakfast while reading the newspaper, when I came across this article that had a familiar face in it!
The girl on the right, in the blue denim jacket, was my schoolmate from MGS. I don't think I was ever in the same class as her in our 10 years in Methodist Girls' School (MGS) (the two of us went through Primary and Secondary school at MGS), but I definitely saw her around alot. It felt so nice to actually see an acquaintance make it on the newspaper for having a passion for voluntary work and to help the needy in other countries. At my age, she seems to have done so much, which made me ask myself what significant things have I done so far...
The slow morning then continued, and later ended, with Miming and myself sitting by General's pen, watching his antics and then watching him sleep, which is most amusing and can be so heartwarming, as silly as it may sound. I really like to watch my dog sleep. Especially when he gets into the funniest positions that seem really comfortable for him, like this:

And his legs were actually sticking out of the pen!
You cannot imagine how thankful I am for the company of my dog. He may be abusive and I may have to clean up after his big and small business, but he's around, and he's a good distraction when I really need one. He also makes me smile with his amusing antics too:)
