General: 7 days to Sterilisation

Image
All this while, I've always meant to get General sterilised because I've read and heard that dogs are less active or calmer after they are sterilised, especially where male dominant dogs are concerned. Male dogs will also have less of the urge/need to want to pee everywhere to claim their territory. Then about 2 weeks ago, I received a letter from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore reminding me to renew my annual dog licence. I then discovered that the licence for a non-sterilised dog is $70. A licence for a sterilised dog? It's only $14! So, price has now become another factor... Anyway, General's scheduled date for sterilisation is 7 days from now, on 4 May 2012. I pray everything goes alright and he won't change for the worse as a result of the sterilisation. Here's General sending me off to work today:

My birthday was the day before a public holiday, so I had the entire weekend to celebrate it with family and friends. It was nice to meet up with friends again, but I was struggling with what I call "birthday blues" - hard to believe, too difficult to explain - that my appetite really took a turn for the worse and even though I really wanted to enjoy all the good food I was having with my family and friends, I just couldn't stomach much without feeling extremely uncomfortable afterwards. Anyway. Here I go doing a record-keeping of my birthday this year. This is only Part 1 as I'm missing photos that are stored in my dad's camera and I haven't gotten them from him yet. 31 March, Saturday I choped as many One-Thirders as I could a few weeks in advance, but still didn't manage to get full attendance - we were missing Jien and Tina, yet again:( For dinner, Julie, myself, Andrew and Sheryl met first. We ended up eating at this Korean restaurant at Orchar...
