My last Founder's Day as an MG girl

Image
MGS is 118 years old, and this service would be my last one as an MG girl because it's also my graduation service. :( It was really exciting to see everyone again after such a long time of busying ourselves with our own lives. Here are some photos of the people I was sooooo happy to see again. The whole gang consisting of Lai Shan (otherwise known as sup), Karmen, Ter, Jiying and Cheryl Loy. We always hung out as a group during recess time in sec 3 and 4. A photo with Lysa where we swopped blazers for the fun of it. In sec 4, there were a number of times people mistook me for Lysa and vice versa, we are now known as "god-twins" even though in this photo we don't seem to look alike. B1 from 2003-2004. We had our cliques but we still had our fun. Mrs Goh, our co-form teacher, is missing in this photo though because she was on course on Founder's Day, what a bummer. I was so looking forward to meeting up with her and Ms. Kek just to say hi. I met many many many frien...

Rapture

Image
All in all, Rapture was entertaining! I got to meet up with Diane and took a few photos as well! The first dance. I only watched the first minute or so because Diane called midway to tell me she was outside. I had to go out to pass her her ticket. I didn't manage to take many photos because even if I had, the dancers would have looked blur and small. Here are the photos I took at intermission. It was so good to meet up with Diane after such a long time of not being able to meet up with each other. A photo of Jien, Michelle and I A shot of myself and Brynner on "duty". He was tasked with selling the programme booklets. Took this nice shot of Alfred while he was unprepared. The person's shoulder in the photo belongs to Brynner After the intermission, it was more dancing. I took these photos at the teachers' dance item. I must say, SA teachers dance really well. As in, compared to MGS teachers. Maybe it's because they practise a lot more than the teachers in MGS ...

Highlights of the first One-Third outing

Image
Let me tell you of how the one-third gang came about... After our class dinner , we realized that there actually was something good in all the cliques that made up 05A41. All the cliques were re-labelled into "gangs", which the guys in our class numbered. Initially, Tina, Jien and I made up gang 6 while Bella, Julie, Sheryl and Joanne made up gang 2, if my numbering's correct. But we realized that gangs 2 and 6 always hung out together so we created a new name for this merger, and that was one-third. Because 2 divided by 6 is... one-third! One-third picture, excluding Tina, taken outside Toys R Us, Paragon So, after this introduction to one-third, let me go on to tell you all about our outing that took place after Commendation Service. We wanted to catch a $1.60 Fantastic Four show after the service, but by the time we got to Cineleisure, all of those tickets had been redeemed. So we spent about a good half an hour to forty-five minutes aimlessly drifting about Cine. Publ...

Commendation Service

Image
Because today we had Commendation Service, we only went to school for Chapel, since we were dismissed at 9.15am. Only half the class turned up at assembly. But anyway, the one-third gang, excluding Tina because she was sick and therefore took MC, travelled to the place of the service. The commendation service took place in St.Andrew's Cathedral. This nice shot was taken by Bella. Sheryl, Jien, Hui Shan (Did I get her name correct?) and Joanne on bus 100 Bella, myself and Julie on bus 100 When we got off the bus, we were all hungry. So we stopped at Raffles City on our way to the Cathedral to grab a bite. Midway, we passed the Raffles Hotel, so we took a group photo there! Do we look like tourists, not considering the uniform? ;) By the time we were done with our lunch, we were quite late. So we rushed to the Cathedral to meet Athena and Kah Yin, who choped seats for us. Our seats may have been in the first 10 rows BUT... ...Our view was a bugger. We tried taking shots of Daniel and...

College Day 2005

Image
School building from the Gallery Today, we were supposed to assemble at SAJC Gallery, 11am, for celebrations. From a few weeks back already, Tina and I were wondering if we should just pon today and have a time of fun and vcds together. In the end, we decided to go. For me, I went because: 1) To have a valid reason, you need an MC. Parent's letters were not accepted. 2) Tina was going so I knew it wouldn't be that boring and bad. 3) Jien's part of the House Comm who organized the whole event. Better go if I don't want to jeopardize our friendship! ;) I met Tina at the MRT station near our house, then we bought lunch from Harbourfront, at that time Stef was with us already. One box each for me and Tina. This was our lunch. When we got there, we realized that less than half the class turned up. Besides the 2 of us and the 3 guys, there was Kelly, Maylene, Josephine and Yingzhen. But the latter 3 disappeared after staying for only 10-15minutes at the gallery. I think they ...

Class dinner!

Image
I'm S-DUPER happy to say that class dinner was a success! 19 out of 25 of us turned up, which is fantastic! To the 6 that didn't come... you are forgiven. ;) Well, we went to our CT's condo along Hougang St.11 for our dinner. He was kind enough to book the bbq pit for us. I must say that his condo is really nice! The bbq pit had provided trash bags and the best part was the sink! I mean, this was my first time using a bbq pit with a SINK provided! Or am I just sua ku ? The sink next to the bbq pit Most of us met at Kovan MRT before taking a bus 2 stops down to his house. Our CT was waiting for us by the time we got there. We felt a leeetle bad for making him wait. Now... I think I shall just let the pictures do the talking. Tina and I at Kovan MRT looking like Aunties with all the plastic bags. Now for the food... Jiaying's fried rice. Good job girlie! ;) Cold Storage chickens bought by Tina and myself Old Chang Kee fishballs bought by Yingzhen Charlotte's curry chi...
