Calm baby Judah

Image
I confess that I think it MUCH easier and more enjoyable to hang out with a baby who is calm and doesn't cry in the arms of a stranger, i.e. me. So on Tuesday (29.10.13) when I met Faith for dinner and a nice catch up, and Boon Yeow joined us with Judah later in the night while we were having dessert, and Judah was just so calm and only-one-expression-funny, I was quite excited to carry him!:D Then at the tail-end of the night, Eugene came by to meet me and we took a shot together with calm baby Judah, who just had that same wide-eyed shocked/worried/bewildered expression that is just so cute and funny on a baby like him. The nice thing is that while Judah stayed in that same expression towards me and Faith, he smiled when Boon Yeow made sounds and talked in a high-pitched voice to him. AND what topped things off was that he was very amused with Eugene too! Eugene actually made him change his usual expression to a smile!

Why they're on Running Man...

I was pleasantly surprised to see Joo Sang-wook appear on Running Man episode 169, which just aired on Sunday, 27.10.13. I first watched Joo Sang-wook in the Korean drama serial, Feast of Gods. He didn't end up with the lead actress, but I still grew to like him anyway. So I was quite happy to see him on Running Man. But I've since realised that if actors or singers go on Running Man, and especially if they don't usually appear on variety shows, more often than not, they're doing this to promote a movie or drama serial or new album that has just been released or is being aired in Korea. Today I chanced across this article:  http://www.dramabeans.com/2013/10/joo-sang-wook-and-yang-dong-geun-face-off-in-the-punisher/ Ohhhh no wonder they're on Running Man. The 2 of them star in a movie that's being released in Korea this week!:)

20 & 21 Oct: Meeting Jennifer after 6 years

Image
I was the happiest girl ever to get to meet up with Jennifer during the family holiday to Korea. She was on an exchange for 1 semester in my 1st year of uni. I got to know her because she stayed in the same hall as me, Florence Boot Hall. She was a Christian and she attended church with me when we were both in Nottingham. It was a short period of time spent with her but she was so kind and caring towards me, I have always had a soft spot for her and I count her as an important friend that I want to keep in contact with as much as possible, whenever we can, despite the distance and completely different lives, cultures and backgrounds. On 20 October, Sunday, I met Jennifer and her boyfriend for tea at some nice cafe somewhere in Gangnam. Then they took me on a cruise of the Han River (I hope I got the name of the river correct), and we ended the night with Korean BBQ seafood. YUMMY. I loved the company too! On 21 October, Monday, Jennifer came to meet us for dinner after she...

The Heirs

Image
Suddenly there are SO many drama serials I want to or can watch or check in with regularly. One of them is a Korean drama serial called "The Heirs". The theme is mainly about rich high school kids. It stars Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye, along with a huge cast of other people playing their high school friends or family members. I wasn't very interested in the show. I'm still not that interested actually. So when I do watch the show, I will only watch scenes that involve the 2 leads, and especially where there's Lee Min Ho.  I'm not a fan of Lee Min Ho, which is why I'm quite embarrassed to say this but... Lee Min Ho is REALLY handsome (and might I add, totally "swoon-worthy") in this show... How could the lead actress' character be annoyed with him and not want to hang out with him in the show?? Just look at his gaze as he looks at her sleeping...
