Today is Eugene's 23rd birthday. In order for my birthday present and note to reach him on the actual day (and I hope it does reach him today), I posted the stuff out last Wednesday. In the envelope, I put a note, and I bought him a shirt - I hope it fits him well! If you look carefully at the bottom of the envelope, you would notice this: My plan for his birthday is to let him have 15 consecutive days of birthday mail from today onwards. So, if all goes according to plan, he should have gotten my mail today. Then for the next 14 days, he will receive an envelope a day. These are birthday notes that I got various church friends to write to him. I could have put them all into 1 big envelope and saved some money on postage, but I figured it would be more exciting to receive so many mail over so many days. And it also helped that people were willing to contribute $1 each to cover the postage stamps! I hope he likes it. I'm still posting out a mail a day.

On 11 January 2011, Eugene introduced me to this new term, "monthsary". An anniversary is usually annual right? Well, apparently a "monthsary" is monthly. So, every 11th day of the month, it would be our monthsary. For a 8th monthsary present, I went Daiso-shopping and met Eugene's sister to get a cardigan from her on Tuesday, 26 July. The Daiso-shopping was to buy random knick-knacks for him to use over there in Mauritius. The cardigan is for him to use over there for layering purposes because he has been complaining about how cool it is over there. I'm very thankful for my mum who helped me post it out while I went off for class that afternoon. I was thinking that it would take about 2 weeks to reach him. But it only took 1 week to reach him! Today, the nation celebrated its 46th birthday. The church had our annual celebration in the evening, and I took a few photos, which I will upload later. For now, I just want to post the music video of this year's National Day Parade (NDP) song: "In A Heartbeat": I think the tune, especially the chorus, is really catchy and nice. The words are meaningful too. So this year's song is good!

I recently caught a few of the middle episodes of this Korean drama serial called "Heartstrings". On episode 10, the lead actor sang this song to the lead actress as a "late confession" of his love for her. I think the melody is really nice and soothing, the lead actor's voice is so nice on the ears, and the words are soooo romantic! haha. Have a listen for yourself! On 29 July 2011, Friday, I went down to Suntec City Convention Hall Ballroom 2 to take photos with my brother in his graduation gown! Each graduant only got 2 tickets so only my parents could attend the ceremony. Carolin and I met them at the end of the ceremony to take photos. Oh and I got to catch Tina briefly before she went in for her ceremony! I was so excited and happy to see her:) We then went over to LCP to meet Jiejie and Edmund, and took a few family photos in the conference room, since Jiejie and Edmund couldn't come down to Suntec to meet us. As General's birthday is 2 February 2011, yesterday, he turned 6 months old! He's a rascal, but so cute and very amusing to watch. Waiting for the "take it!" signal to have his meal. A morning shot with my brother, whom he seems to really like! Sitting at the door, watching my brother wear his shoes to leave for work. He's probably wishing he can leave the house too to go explore new things!
