On the Last Day of 2011

I spend the day walking the dog, making sure the dog doesn't make an even bigger mess of the ground floor, writing letters, and finishing the bible for the year. Last year, on 31st December 2010, I wrote that I want to be gentler and kinder with my words in 2011. This year, on 31st December 2011, I just want to get through 2012. I'm hanging on for dear life, God.

POST EXAMS ACTIVITIES #3: General Time

While I'm looking forward to starting work on Monday, I will miss having my afternoons free at home to spend with General. Today, Miming introduced him to a new ball she bought for him from the 'pasar malam' outside Heartland Mall. It's a rubber ball, and when it bounces on one point of the ball, it activates the light within and the whole ball starts to light up with bright colours flashing. General was most intrigued by it! On Monday night, I finished one of my dad's books: It's a really REALLY interesting book and very easy to read. A big eye opener to the conflict between Palestine and Israel. I've also been writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents I've already bought for people. Today, I wrote all the cards to be sent to my overseas friends:

POST EXAMS ACTIVITIES #1: Bangkok!

My last paper was on the fateful day of Friday, 9 December 2011 . I met Kah Wan and Eliz for lunch at the Purple Market. It was a significant event for me because lunch on weekdays for the past 5 weeks or so were always at home, because studying for exams meant I should save time and just have lunch at home. BUT, ON FRIDAY, I COULD GO OUT FOR LUNCH. Why? BECAUSE EXAMS ARE O-V-E-R. WHOO! Kah Wan dropped by after lunch to have a look at General, since the last time he saw General was quite a few months ago. He tried to trick General into thinking that he had thrown his cap, so that General would go running after the cap when actually Kah Wan had only made the motion of throwing and tried to hide the cap behind him. General would not be tricked! So I come home, take a photo of all my exam materials, with Hippo sitting on top, smiling triumphantly at me because the only thing I need to do with them now, is to figure out a way to store them or to get rid of them.
