Day 3 as part of our family

Image
General still pulls and chews on his toy giraffe, but he has also taken to using his toy giraffe as a pillow/bolster: I like this shot: I actually took 2 amusing videos of General interacting with my family. One with my helper, Miming. The other with my dad. But I can't seem to upload it here:( I shall try to get it up asap!:)

Meet General!

Image
On my birthday, I went to Pet Lovers to view a male beagle puppy, and I really liked him alotalot, and my parents graciously allowed me to have the dog as my birthday present. We were supposed to collect him last Sunday, but that morning, I was told that he had just developed a cough as a reaction to his second vaccination jab. Therefore the pet shop wanted to keep him under observation for another week at most. I was most disappointed last Sunday. 5 days passed, and on Saturday, we finally could bring the doggy home! Right up until the moment I carried him at the shop on Saturday, I still had not decided on a name for it. But in the end, I decided that his name should be General, the name my dad suggested for it. General is a male miniature beagle. His birthday is 2 February, which makes him just over 2 months old now. He is a SUPER active dog, but really very very small and cute! Left: When we brought him home, he had a lick at his water bottle, which was initially closed without our...

Charly T's

Image
On Monday, 11 April, I met Eugene for dinner and a movie after work. For dinner, we tried this random place that is located in some small building between PS and Cathay Cineplex. This small restaurant-ish place is called Charly T's. And its concept is really so random and therefore weird and more difficult to like! Just read this display on who Charly T is: Do you think he's just some fictional character? Or the shopowner's name is REALLY Charly T? The food wasn't fantastic. And honestly, I was a bit disappointed because Eugene mentioned that he wanted pasta, and I was game for it. When we got to Charly T's, I was all prepared to have pasta. BUT, the menu we saw was just so... random. In the end, I decided on some wrap, while Eugene got the Moroccan chicken sticks or something like that: This place is really nothing to shout about. If you're curious to experience its randomness, please feel free to go check it out yourself. Then let me know what you think!:) As ...

I'm still living in the year of 2010

(Disclaimer: I really really truly sincerely mean no offence or insult to anybody mentioned in this entry, save for myself.) Today, I got scolded by the assistant director of BLE for submitting in the wrong application form for the Part B Course and Exam for the Bar. I downloaded the application form for 2010, when I should be filling up the online form for 2011. "DID YOU NOT SEE THAT IT'S FOR 2010?!" He repeated a few times over the phone. Ok, I get the picture. But did you really have to call me back a few minutes after the administrative staff already pointed out this super stupid mistake I made? It's incredible how I made such a stupid mistake when I looked over the contents of the form over and over again without thinking twice about the numbers "2010" when it should be "2011". Ok Lynn Wake Up. It's 2011. Not 2010.

A Great Birthday

SO. My irritating persistence has paid off and my parents have agreed to let me have a dog as a birthday present! This afternoon, I completely slacked from work and paid a visit to the Pet Lovers branch at Holland Village to view this 3 month old beagle that is SUPER CUTE. It is still soooo small, and it seems to be very mild and not too active. It is very quiet as well, but it was entertaining itself by jumping around and trotting around with its big belly - which means it will definitely have to go on a diet if we get it. I took a few photos, but I'm afraid they appear yellow so the photos do no justice whatsoever to how adorable this beagle puppy is: I left the office around 3:30 to view the dog and got back to the office around 5pm. At about 5:30pm, people in the office gathered on the 3rd floor to cut cake for me! They ordered a chocolate banana cake from Awfully Chocolate, which was great! Then, I had my birthday dinner with my family at Imperial Treasure Teochew Cuisine at T...
