My latest Jap drama - Totsuzen desu ga ashita kekkon shimasu ("Everyone's Getting Married")

For awhile now, I have found it EXTREMELY difficult to find a Japanese drama serial that is a romantic comedy. I have always preferred Japanese drama serials for the length, i.e. 9, 10 or 11 episodes. With the short serial length, things move fast, pacing is usually very good, and flashbacks (if any) are always to the point and necessary. But Japanese drama serials have this tendency to end weirdly or in a more "open/hanging" manner that I find most irritating. Otherwise the drama serials are thrillers, action, going-to-school context, adultery, homosexual love... They are emo or they are just really creepy. It is super duper difficult to find a pure romantic comedy. So you can imagine my pleasure at discovering this drama serial that just started airing in Japan. The story line is really cute - about a girl who wants to get married, but is attracted to a guy who absolutely does not want to get married.  I really like that the lead female character is not a tot...

Lovely Kiss in Goblin Ep 10 - my favourite episode thus far!

Episode 10 of Goblin spent a bit of time setting out Kim Shin's story in the Goryeo era when he was a general, and the days leading up to his death as human, just before he was made immortal subject to him finding his bride. It was interesting, and it gives us a deeper look into Kim Shin, his love for his country and his sister, as well as his loyalty to the country. Kim Shin was a good man caught in very difficult circumstances and I would say that his death was so unnecessary. Immortality should not have been a punishment too. Poor Kim Shin. Anyway, what makes episode 10 my favourite episode thus far is the lead couple's progression in their relationship. Episode 9 saw a confirmation of their feelings for each other, and so you get to see more sweet manifestations of their relationship in episode 10. And they kiss! It is such a pure kiss, seeing that Eun Tak just became a legal adult at the age of 20, but the way they did it and portrayed it was just so full of happiness...
