The weekend just flew past and I only realized it this morning when I was on the train with Tina, travelling to work together. 1) Talking about Tina... Her last day of work is on Wednesday - day after tomorrow! Man, time has really flown past. Tina has worked at my dad's law firm for a little over 7 months already! I'm going to miss the morning train rides, the after-lunch bubbles teas and 7-11 ice-cream outings... Oh well. At least we still have our Saturday mornings of Macs breakfast!;) 2) 3 keyboards I set a record in the worship ministry yesterday by handling 3 keyboards at the same time. At any one time, both my hands were being used while one of my legs was controlling one or two pedals simultaneously. At the first service, I felt breathless after the whole worship session was over, as if I was holding my breath throughout the whole session in fear that I may make a gigantic mistake/slip-up. Yesterday afternoon, I attended the Pre-Departure event organized for all future Nottingham students together with my parents. It was the first of, hopefully, many opportunities to make Singaporean friends before going to Nottingham. I am very sure I went to this "high tea" feeling rather excited about it, looking forward to meeting new friends. Yet, if you ask me now how I felt about the whole thing after everything has happened, I can't say that I found it thoroughly fulfilling. Yes, I did make new friends (maybe it'll be more appropriate to call them "acquaintances"). I found out that of about 15 future Nottingham students who attended the event, 7 of us were going to be studying Law. Amongst the rest, there were 2 exchange students from NUS who will be going to Nottingham to study Chemistry for 6 months. So many things have happened since I last blogged properly, that I don't know where to start. Therefore, a summary of everything as they come to mind! 1) Fun in the Sun It was an unusual Sunday with 1500 church members going to Palawan Beach, Sentosa, for a time of fun and relaxation instead of entering the church auditorium for the two main services. God blessed us with wonderful weather where the sun wasn't blazing hot(but we still got sunburnt anyway), the organizing committee did a great job with the planning and everything went smoothly! Of course, there were games that included playing and carrying baby Josh:) We ended the fabulous day dead tired though. 2) "Corner with Love" Yesterday, I completed a Taiwanese drama serial entitled "Corner with Love".
