events of late

Image
It's been close to a week since I last blogged and so this entry will comprise of quite a few events starting from the most recent ones. Welcome home Annabella Seoh Yesterday night, one-third went to the airport for dinner at BK before giving Bella a welcome typical of one-third - crazy, noisy, and on hindsight, very very embarrassing. Julie brought some hats from school and so Sheryl wrote a word on each hat such that, when we stand together in one line, the 4 hats would show the phrase "Welcome home Annabella Seoh". Tina was so pleased with the hat she wore it immediately after Sheryl was done with hers and wore it all over the place, attracting many stares in the meanwhile. Here's a video of Tina singing at the airport while we were waiting for Bella to 'come out': So glad you're back, Bella! Happy Birthday Amy! My dearest friend joined the 'two-something' club on Monday and I met her for lunch at Crystal Jade at PS to have a special celebr...

Holiday to Hokkaido (II)

Here's part 2 of my entry on my family's holiday to Hokkaido, Japan in June. I finally got down to editing the filmed footage, putting in titles and all that so that I could split it into chapters and put it onto a DVD for future 'reviewing'. Then I started on a small 'music video' combining some photos and video clips. I'm proud to say that I've finished the 'music video', even though it may not be of the best quality and fantastic composition, but it's good enough for me already!:) Here it is for you to enjoy (it's very blur because of the low quality. Family members will be able to watch it on DVD, soon): As for the song, it's actually a song by a Japanese singer, Ayaka. She really has a very good voice and I first heard this song from the Japanese drama serial "Absolute Boyfriend". I must say that I don't listen to Japanese music so I chose this video simply because I like the tune and the singer. I'm not very su...

You've left

Jien left for the US today and the next time I will get to see her face to face and spend time with her in person is probably April next year. Here's the farewell video I put together especially for her on behalf of One-Third: Am missing you already.

Into the 2nd week

I'm now blogging 'live' from the place of my internship during my lunch hour! Whoo! My first week of internship ended last week and it was... uneventful? The people here are friendly enough for such a gigantic (well, at least to me, whose only work experience was in my dad's law firm) law firm. They smile at me, a few of them do joke with me and we can have occasional, short funny/interesting/pleasant conversations. I'm also learning how to have lunch by myself as well as to buy back lunch to the office because Raffles Place is packed with people and so the people in the office usually buy back where they can eat in the comfort of their air conditioned cubicle/office space. When I say uneventful, it is not the case where I have absolutely nothing to do as nobody in the office has given me work. I do have work. It's just the part about me not really liking/enjoying the work I've been given. I am seriously considering cutting short my internship from the inte...
