Looking Back: 6 July 2011 - Dinner at Porta Porta
That Wednesday, Eugene and I went out for dinner at this Italian restaurant called Porta Porta. While I call it a "farewell dinner", Eugene insists that it should be called a "See you again soon dinner".
Anyway, Porta Porta is located opposite the Changi Prison. Very quiet, and a little out of the way if you do not have a car. The restaurant wasn't busy that night, and besides the two of us, only two other tables were occupied, so it felt nice and easy to talk to one another. The service was good and the food was good too!
(Unfortunately, Eugene was very uncooperative in my photos, so his expressions all seem... weird. Please focus on the food.)
Left photo: Calamari. Right photo: My lasagne.

Left photo: Eugene's seafood spaghetti, which had a generous serving of seafood. Right photo: Tiramisu, which wasn't that fantastic, although I heard later from aunty Ivy that their Grandma's Cake (or something like that; aka chocolate lava cake) is really good.

I liked the quiet, comfortable ambience of this restaurant. I would like to go back and try that chocolate lava cake!
