My Week of Slacking. Well, 4 days at least.
I ended work at my dad's law firm last Friday, 25th July, and will be starting my internship at Rajah & Tann tomorrow morning, 1st August.
My weekend was a slow uneventful one. My week has been a fulfilling one. I didn't sit around at home the whole day in front of the TV rotting away as a couch potato. Well, there was one day where I spent the entire afternoon in front of the TV, but otherwise it's always a few hours at a time and ONLY a few hours at a time in one day.
Monday night: Wii 'Training Session' with One-Thirders
Now you must be wondering why we took a picture with the bag and cushion in the foreground... Well... it's a clique secret (I think). I'll have to kill you if I tell you.
Tuesday: Morning run; Lunch with John, PY & Tzen
Tzen visited Singapore over the weekend and I arranged to meet up with her and as many of the other people. In the end, it was just her, me, John and py. We had lunch at Sakae Sushi at OUB Centre so that John could join us during his lunch hour. It was good seeing each other again after all this while.
Wednesday: Morning run; Cycling at East Coast Park with Jien; About 3 hours of Wii
It was a WONDERFUL time riding a tandem bicycle (first time for the two of us) with Jien for an hour or so. We talked while cycling and made a few stops for some photo taking. Afterwards, we rewarded ourselves with ice-cream from McDonald's.

After dropping Jien off back at her house, I returned home feeling really sleepy. Yet I was in a situation where I was feeling very full and unhealthy from the McFlurry and fries I'd just eaten. So I decided to watch a bit of TV and play a little bit of Nintendo Wii so that I wouldn't feel bad when I took a nap afterwards.
I ended up playing Wii for about 3 hours. I stopped because my right arm was getting rather sore and my siblings and dad had all returned home for dinner.
Thursday: Visit to Tung Ling; Dimsum lunch with Jolene & Aunty Oi Leng; Singapore Garden Festival with Jolene; Afternoon run; Grandmother's birthday dinner
It was a day of catching up as I met JJ and Leroy at Tung Ling, then had dimsum lunch at Suntec with Aunty Oi Leng, Darren and Jolene.
Jolene and I then went to the Singapore Garden Festival as her mother had passed her two free tickets. It really was quite an experience going for this "flower show", as I put it very loosely. We attempted to take many photos but so many of the displays/set ups were just too beautiful to capture on film - only the human eye and brain can register such beauty or aesthetic displays. To make it worse, there were so many people at the festival that at almost every single shot we took of the displays, there would be a head or somebody else's part of his/her body in the picture, obstructing us. Anyhow, here are a few of the more decent photos I took:

Here, this display is actually made of many clumps of plants as seen in the photo directly below this one:

On the 4th floor, it was the Singapore Orchid Show, which was part of the whole Festival.

So far, my week has been GRRREAT!:)
