Catchup Ketchup!

I haven't updated for a really long time eh?

Anyway, on 13 July, Sunday, the Elders and Elders' wives held a farewell dinner for Uncle Yew Kong and Aunty Tiak as the two of them, together with Victor, will be moving over to the US on a long term basis. The food was good, the company was great and the evening was bittersweet.
I met up with Victor, my childhood friend, someone I have not seen in the longest time. I will always remember the times way back in the past when, at church, we would sit in the first row with our parents. We would kneel/sit on the floor, pens scattered on the floor and chair in front of us, using the chair as a 'table' that we could place our notebooks to write on as we took notes during the sermons. After church, we would usually hang out at my house, playing all kinds of imaginative games. It was nice to have a little catchup with him at the dinner.

While we had a good time together, the goodbyes eventually had to be said and felt deep in the hearts. Farewells can really be tough.

On a lighter, completely different note - I toured the old Supreme Court on Tuesday afternoon. A new friend and I took a few hours off work at my dad's office to attend this tour. We found ourselves with a whole bunch of Secondary 4 students from Fairfield Methodist School. Initially I felt out of place and rather intimidated by their enthusiasm, uniformity and noise (and the boys' not-very-nice smell). But having them around was really funny as they said and did the funniest things. I guess if I was taking this tour with my secondary school or JC friends, I'd behave like them as well. Here, we're in the Court of Appeal. You see the happiest prisoners standing on the prisoner's stand.
Ceiling that is covered with octagonal paneling. The shape of the octagon seems to one of the common themes running throughout the old Supreme Court.

I highly encourage and strongly recommend for you to go on this tour of the old Supreme Court. It is free. You just need to call beforehand to book a timeslot at which you can attend the tour. The number is 63324388. You talk to someone from the Singapore Academy of Law and the name of the tour is "Legal Legacies: The Story of Singapore Law".

In my last piece of news of the day: I've completed another Korean drama serial! It's called "Hearts of Nineteen". It may be about 84 episodes long (167 half-hour eps), but it is funny and, when the lead actor and actress actually get together, very very sweet and heartwarming!Oh and I think the lead actor is good-looking!:)
