1) 10 Promises to my dog [Japanese]
The moment I saw it in the inflight entertainment magazine on JAL when traveling back to Singapore from Japan, I knew it would be a really sad movie that would end up in me crying at many parts of the movie - as it is with all movies about dogs, or basically pets in general. I was right. Tears streamed down my eyes and I was sniffing away, trying to keep it as quiet and low key as possible so that I wouldn't attract too many weird stares. At one point in time, they had served dinner and I looked like I was crying over my dinner or something...
So, if you need to do some crying, watch this show. Besides being a MAJOR tearjerker, it is heartwarming - all in all, a good show, despite the fact that it was embarrassing to cry as hard as I did. If you are a fan of dogs, you absolutely NEED to watch this show. You'll be left swooning over the incredible "cuteness" of the dog.
Sigh, I want Keller back.
2) Naoka [Japanese]
This is one inspirational movie that I would encourage you to watch when you get the chance.
While looking for a picture of this movie, I came across this movie review and I think it is good in that it is very detailed and that I kinda agree with it. So, please read it here.
3) Penelope [English]
Suddenly, I have run out of things to say so I'll just put it simply, in four words: DO WATCH THIS MOVIE!
(And James McAvoy has that SOMETHING about him that makes me think he's... suave. Not dashing-mr darcy-good looking, but, charming. I like.)
4) Absolute boyfriend (Zettai Kareshi) [Japanese]
I just watched the last episode of this drama serial. The ending is rather sad, but I was expecting it as it just cannot work out between a robot and a human being, no matter how much the robot develops to become something like a human being in terms of emotions and thought processes. I also knew the ending wouldn't be one of a happily-ever-after because I checked out the ending of the manga.
The show had its hilarious moments and it was very sweet. Yet it got rather frustrating when the lead actress kept rejecting the lead actor - which I somewhat understand since she knows very well that he is only a robot. Still, I'd extremely LOVE to have a boyfriend like him, although the likelihood of this kind of guy existing in reality, and my actually meeting him, is just... really low.
