Leroy & Pamela's wedding on 9 Oct 2010

On Saturday, I had a great time attending the wedding ceremony and dinner of Leroy and Pamela. I know Leroy from Tung Ling Bible College (TLBC). He was my classmate during our TLBC course from January to March 2007. Jolene, Joanne and I arrived rather early and while waiting, I tried taking a self-shot of us three, but it turned out... not so nice. I'm putting it up anyway: I attended TLBC with Jolene and Joanne. And Joanne was my buddy in TLBC! Just to explain a little, each person is encouraged to find a 'buddy' during our time in TLBC. As buddies, we are accountable to each other during the course. I became buddies with Joanne, because we were always taking the bus to and from school that we had alot of time to talk and spend time with one another. I got to know her so much better that, 3 years after we have graduated from TLBC, I still see her very much as a 'buddy' that I can be held accountable to. I thank God for her!:) Anyway, the wedding ceremony started pr...

Miss R: And, I'm Home.

Random #1: First home cooked meal back I arrived in Singapore Saturday evening, but did not get to eat home cooked food until Tuesday. Oh, GLORIOUS HOME COOKED FOOD BY AIDA (my maid)! It was a really big spread... And I had steamed fish! Whoo! Random #2: Writing my 18-page essay So, are you wondering what I have been doing since I got back? Well, besides the very important and repeated things of eating (and drinking bubble tea) and spending time with my family and close friends, I've also stayed home to work on my 18-page Legal Research Paper (I didn't leave the house at all for two whole days). As the air-con in my room is spoilt and there is a big table in the basement on which I can spread out ALL my notes and research material, I have since claimed the meeting room table as my own. This morning at 6am (Note: Singapore is 7 hours ahead of the UK), I finally finished the first draft of my essay - just in time to get it printed out and passed over to my dad to vet through whil...

My Week of Slacking. Well, 4 days at least.

I ended work at my dad's law firm last Friday, 25th July, and will be starting my internship at Rajah & Tann tomorrow morning, 1st August. My weekend was a slow uneventful one. My week has been a fulfilling one. I didn't sit around at home the whole day in front of the TV rotting away as a couch potato. Well, there was one day where I spent the entire afternoon in front of the TV, but otherwise it's always a few hours at a time and ONLY a few hours at a time in one day. Monday night: Wii 'Training Session' with One-Thirders Now you must be wondering why we took a picture with the bag and cushion in the foreground... Well... it's a clique secret (I think). I'll have to kill you if I tell you. Tuesday: Morning run; Lunch with John, PY & Tzen Tzen visited Singapore over the weekend and I arranged to meet up with her and as many of the other people. In the end, it was just her, me, John and py. We had lunch at Sakae Sushi at OUB Centre so that John could...

Inspirational

Yesterday, for the first time in my entire life(I think), I woke up at 4.30am to bathe and get ready so that I could take bus 53 to the airport to send Wei Ye off to China. He is going to be away for six whole months before coming back to Singapore! A whole bunch of us turned up to send him off and we gave him a cap and photo album(put together by Joanne, Lynette, Yurong and Rachel). After Wei Ye had left, we headed to McDonald's for breakfast together. Here are a few photos: From the airport, I went to church for worship practice from 10am-1.15pm. Then I rushed home to prepare for Inspiration Unveiled! Inspiration Unveiled was an event organised with the hope that people aged 14-28(but there were many people out of this age group who were also present) would be inspired to lead more fulfilling and inspirational lives after listening to 4 personal testimonies. These 4 testimonies were presented in a talkshow manner with Cynthia, my dearest cousin, as the host. The 4 interviewees c...
