SA rugby match today

We lost 7-0. :(

BUT, at least we weren't completely TRASHED to bits and pieces by our opponent.

Also, I was quite displeased with how the opponent was so violent. Yes, rugby is supposed to be a rough game since it's a "contact sport", but during the game, I saw some unpleasant things:

1) One player from the opponent team kicked one SA player in the chest. It didn't seem accidental.

2) Somehow during the game, the opponent team lost possession of the ball to SA. The player from the opponent team who was holding the ball initially, threw the ball angrily and I THOUGHT I saw him pointing a finger (not the middle one) at a nearby SA player threateningly.

3) The same SA player who was kicked in the chest got a head injury. He kept playing on though. His head was bandaged and he wore this funny-looking cap thingy to secure the bandage. We could all tell the blood was just... gushing. I am not sure if the head injury was caused by an opponent player but... just the fact that it's a head wound from which blood is just oozing out continually? Not nice.

Disclaimer: Please do not sue me if I have appeared to have defamed the opponents or I have gotten any information wrong. You can blame it on my poor eyesight.

Anyhow, WAY TO GO TEAM SAJC!

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
