The Dark Trio

And the Dark Trio comprises of... *drum roll* Tina, Jien and I!

Why? All 3 of us are so tan! We're all about the same shade!

We made this discovery at our first outing together yesterday night. We had a movie date with Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Over 'ang ku kueh', 'nine-layered kueh' and Ruffles BBQ chips, we viewed this movie:


I've watched this show a MILLION times. So many times that I can even tell what is the next line the actor/actress is about to say. However, it's still so funny everytime I watch it. Also, I spot new little things whenever I watch the movie. For example, I noticed that in the scene where Meg Ryan enters Fox Bookstore after her store closes down and she walks through the shelves of books in the children's section, I caught sight of really cute Tigger soft toys! Yes, we never stop learning.

Before we began our movie, Jien and I met up, shopped at Cold Storage, then ate at Thai Express. Tina had to rush down to town to get something done so she didn't have dinner with us. The food was good! Jien had her camera with her so she took a few photos of our food. I'll post it up here when I get the chance to! After dinner, we were COMPLETELY stuffed. We met up with Tina and journeyed on to my house. Where we watched "You've Got Mail". They only left at 10.30pm. It was one fulfilling outing.

Now that I recall, in a previous entry I said something about 2 songs that "belong" to the Dark Trio, right? Well, they are:

1. "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None the Richer

2. "Bermuda Triangle" by Barry Manilow

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
