Happy Mother's Day!

To all the mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Instead of celebrating this special day over dinner tonight, my family decided to avoid the mad rush for restaurants. We'll have the celebration dinner next week instead. Also, to prevent getting caught in the mad rush for any restaurant, we actually reached the eating place at 5.45pm. We finished dinner by 6.30 and got home at 7pm. The sun had not even set completely yet!

The comic is a little small but I got it from the newspaper today. I thought it was quite interesting because stay-at-home mothers usually find the housework natural for them to do. It is until Mother's Day where all their duties are taken care of and they see OTHER people in their role that they realize that maybe their jobs as housewives isn't as easy as it seems. Although I feel that as long as housewives see their daily duties as a routine they do not loathe, it's a benefit.

Which brings me to the question of whether I will be willing to become a housewife if my husband wants me to... I'm not sure actually. I think I won't be that willing, even when I have children. Even though I'm not working now, I find that having an actual job can be more fulfilling than holding the status of "Minister of Home Affairs" on the domestic front. However, this view is subjective, I suppose, because I haven't started an actual job.
