First time
Today, I have had the good fortune to have a few "first time" experiences. Let me enlighten you:
1. I went against my norm and wore a pair of blue crystal earrings to school!
It may not seem like a biiig deal but to me, trust me on this, it is. I actually only pierced my ears about 2 years ago and since then, I've always been wearing silver studs to school. Basically because MGS only allowed studs or ear sticks on the first ear hole. But of course, I take off the studs to wear other more colourful, and sometimes even flashy, earrings over the weekends.
So as usual, yesterday morning I took off the studs and put on a pair of round blue crystal earrings from Perlini's Silver. They were a birthday gift from a church friend a few years back and yesterday was actually the first time I put them on. They looked really nice on me! ;) Anyhow, I got home from dinner last night and I was just plain lazy to take them off. So I wore them to school today and, strange as it sounds, it was refreshing to be wearing something other than silver studs to school!
2. Smsing a friend in the same location when that person is almost right next to you.
It all started during Math tutorial when a classmate of mine smsed me. Get this, I was sitting one row in front of this classmate in the same classroom. I didn't reply that sms. Then it was in the Auditorium during Econs lecture when I decided to sms that classmate again because I really had something to say. This classmate was sitting only a few rows in front of me. It's quite a waste of smses and AGAIN, quite mundane, nothing special BUT, it was ridiculously interesting that I thought I'd just count this little incident as a "first time" thingy.
3. My first draft of my PI got rejected. :(
Now I have to come up with a 2nd better draft, hopefully by tomorrow. I'm doing the second task which is "New Perspectives". My CT thought it's a rather good idea so I'll just continue with the present idea I have, but I will just have to improve it alot.
4. My Civics Tutor (CT) gave me and the other 6 classmates who went to the OCS a Peach Cheesecake.
It wasn't branded cheesecake, but it is the thought that counts. The cheesecake was nice while it lasted, and we now think that our CT is S-DUPER fun (S-Duper=Super+Duper). I mean, my CT is the first teacher I've known who is willing to appease his students with cheesecake after they complain to him about being forced to go on a school trip.
5. I saw the main door of Tina Mama's house.
On my way home from the MRT station after school, I had to drop Geog lecture and tutorial notes into Tina's mailbox. But strangely, the slot through which the papers should go through couldn't be opened. So with Tina's instructions over the phone, I went up to her home and slipped the papers through the gate. I got to see her door. All green and clean.
