Goose Fair! among other things

The weather over these past two days has been quite wonderful, as the sun has been smiling down upon us very happily. There are colder moments when the wind blows or when the clouds hide the sun. Otherwise, in the day, it is so uplifting to see the sun shining down on us, with people sitting on the grass eating their lunch on open fields.

The right photo shows the view from the window in my room. Can you see how blue and cloud-less the sky is? The sun is shining so brightly too! As for the photo on the left, I took it while walking towards Portland Building, where I was meeting Tzen (my Bruneian friend. Just pronounce it as 'jen') for lunch. The clock tower in the distance is part of the Trent Building.

At night, however, it is very cold, with temperatures dipping below 10 degrees celsius. It is at night where I usually feel a little bit more depressed and alone, especially with my "neighbours" making so much noise outside. Part of me wants to join them and get to know them better, most of me is afraid of what will happen if I actually do decide to be thick-skinned, yet again, and ask them if I could join them.

So I just stay in my room with my law books, the internet and iTunes. And I am quite content, most of the time.

But I digress from my entry title.

On Thursday night, I went to the Goose Fair with my Singaporean Law friends and some hall mates. If you're wondering what the Goose Fair is, it is like an annual carnival/fun fair where there are many, many rides, food and game stalls to enjoy. Entry is free but for every ride, game or food item you decide to play or eat, you need to pay a fee. Please don't ask me though, why it is called the Goose Fair.

Anyhow, I went there, excited to soak in the atmosphere and see what it was like. Oh my, it was very interesting. I could feel the adrenaline pumping through people's veins as they took the scarily exciting rides. We left the place feeling so cold, as if our fingers were going to drop off soon.

I have many more photos but I'll stop here:)

Now, IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT TO MY SINGAPOREAN FRIENDS:
I'm going back to Singapore in December a few days earlier! YAY:) I'm taking Emirates, EK 352. Arriving on 16th December, 8:45pm.
