Wei Chuen & Limiin's wedding ("flashback")

My dearest friend, Wei Chuen, married Limiin on 30th of December 2006.

I was most relieved when the wedding ceremony ended as I had to sing the march-in song("Angels brought me here") and the communion song("At the foot of the cross"). It didn't help that I was trying desperately to recover from a minor bout of flu that completely affected my throat. You should have heard me on Thursday night when they had the rehearsal, I could barely reach the high and low notes, it was most embarrassing and worrisome! On the wedding day itself, I managed to complete both songs without any major humiliation, but I could have sang better.

Here are a few photos, the first one is a group shot of YPM members with the couple:
*Thanks Tina, for the necklace! It was such a last minute call for help and you responded so willingly! My church friends thought the necklace was cool;)

The wedding dinner seemed more like a prom(or dinner & dance to my sister) to me, with everyone taking photos with anybody they came into contact with. The theme was supposed to be retro, but most of the people just came all dressed up, completely disregarding the theme of the dinner:)
The right photo is my one and only shot with the busy groom the whole day! Out of all the weddings I've attended, which actually aren't many, he is the only one I've seen who did not wear a tie the entire day.

At one point of the dinner, Wei Chuen and Limiin had their "first dance as a couple". His best man, Andy Quek and another of his "henchmen", Andy Teo, began to ask other couples to join the newlyweds in dancing too. Of course, being prominent leaders in church, my parents got asked to go up. It was so funny to see my parents agree to dance because I've never seen them dance together in my whole entire life(I think my family just can't dance for nuts). When they got up from their seats and started walking down the aisle, I rushed after them with my camera and took this shot: So sweet right? They even struck this dancing pose for me when I asked them to take a photo:)
The night ended with this cell photo taken just before I left with my parents and sister for home. Baby Josh was sound asleep in Lydia's arms.
The 19-year-olds actually wanted to go somewhere else in town to take more photos and have more fun together, since it is very rare that we are all dressed up(Elizabeth actually wore a DRESS), but I decided to go home. Any later and I would have probably fallen asleep standing up.
