Meeting up

Initially, I really didn't want to leave the house for Orchard because the weather(rainy) was perfect for the activity called "staying home". I got myself moving though because One-Third was meeting up with the reason that this was the first weekend Daniel is booking out of camp!
The "star" was late though. I met Tina first and indulged in ice-cream while Tina satisfied her cravings for bread and sushi.
Eventually, Daniel came. Just before that, we were worried we wouldn't be able to recognize him. Tina even wondered aloud if Daniel would look really 'buff' now. However when he came, we had no problems recognizing him. He looks pretty much the same! Except for the part about his hair:)

The 3 of us walked to Rouge to say hi to Bella. After which we walked and walked until we ended up at Coffee Club. Julie met us there and we did alot of talking. Tina embarrassed us many, many times with her extremely loud outbursts of laughter or exclamations. You should have seen the 3 of us covering our faces or looking away from Tina.
Well, it was good meeting up! Even though it was only half of One-Third. When's the next time we're meeting up, fellow One-Thirders?

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. The sky is so blue, the sun is so bright, the grass is so green, the flowers are in full bloom... Forget about jackets. In Po Yew's words, which he said very happily, "The girls are wearing nothing!" Girls are walking around in mini skirts sans stockings and in spaghetti tops. Many people are now lounging around on grass patches too. Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
