LCP Randomness

Last week, Adrian (a.k.a. Ah Di) came down with a bad and mysterious case of some illness related to the stomach. It was just painful and/or uncomfortable - I think even Ah Di himself didn't know if what he was feeling was just pain or a churning uncomfortable kind of feeling... He completely lost his appetite (which is HUGE, I tell you), became rather lifeless and just lost his healthy colour.

To make himself munch on something, he brought chocolate Hello Panda, but we told him eating dairy products like chocolate wasn't good for his stomach. Instead, we made him drink a cup of ginger lemon tea, which I found nice, but he thought it was absolutely horrible and it took him many hours to finish just one cup of ginger lemon tea.

In the photo above, you see Adrian displaying his (forbidden) Hello Panda biscuits on the mini wall separating my table from his. And further in the background, you see Wendy the secretary trying to make her ginger lemon tea packet be seen in the photograph to remind him that he HAD to drink it for his own good. She looked so cute trying to lean out of the picture, even when I told her that it was hopeless because no matter what she did, she would still be in the photo - the lower she tried to lean backwards, the more I wanted to include her in the photo:)

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. The sky is so blue, the sun is so bright, the grass is so green, the flowers are in full bloom... Forget about jackets. In Po Yew's words, which he said very happily, "The girls are wearing nothing!" Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
