Weekend
It is a Sunday yet again, and I find myself at the computer blogging, because my TV space has been taken up by my parents and 2 visiting relatives.
Here are a few things I just want to put into words so that, somehow, there won't be a chance for my memory to fail me such that that event/experience that I'm trying so hard to remember fades away with time.
Friday (11 May):
- Coming to realize that life is so short and unpredictable: We all got a fright of our lives when Sheryl heard and then spread the news of a plane crash and fire in an army facility in Taiwan. We were so worried for Daniel's safety. On Saturday, he called me in the late morning just to reassure me that he is all right.
- That one-and-a-half hour telephone conversation with Jien.
Saturday (12 May):
- At our usual Saturday morning breakfast together, Tina and I were walking towards the counter to order our breakfast when I noticed that she was wearing the Sainteria PE t-shirt. It occurred to me that I could be wearing the Sainteria tee too. So I tapped Tina on the shoulder and asked her, then turned around for her to check. Yes, I was wearing the same tee as her! I think what made me feel like remembering this small thing is that, it was such a silly moment. I didn't even know what t-shirt I was wearing as I walked out of the house. I had to ask Tina if I was wearing the same thing as her... (I forgive you if you don't find this amusing)
- Having dimsum lunch with my parents and brother at Great World City Crystal Jade for the third time in something like four weeks. Aiya, no harm done. I can never get sick of dimsum. In fact, I better eat as much dimsum as possible before I have to fly over to the UK.
Sunday (13 May):
- Nothing as yet. However, tonight we're going for a steamboat-buffet-Mother's-Day-dinner with a new family friend. Should be interesting.
