One-Third dinner

As promised (in the 3rd point of my previous entry), here are some photos taken on Monday night, the 7th of May:

To be more detailed in regards to Monday night's event, we decided to meet up because Daniel was leaving for Taiwan the next day (that means, Tuesday night). So, he is now in Taiwan undergoing NS training and he will be there for the next 3 weeks.

Tina and I decided on Central's Billy Bomber's because we went there for a birthday lunch with our other colleagues the previous Wednesday and discovered that there was a Billy Bomber's at Central. We started recalling all the crazy singing and fun we had with One-Third the other time we went to Heeren's Billy Bomber's. Therefore, we took the initiative to decide on the dinner venue. Since there were no objections, all of us met at Clark Quay station on Monday night.

As usual, there were the insane moments, Tina's super-loud laughter and all the mad phototaking. Julie told us many stories and experiences at her workplace and of course, the topic on universities was breached often throughout the dinner. When I say the food was sinfully delicious, we actually had cheese fries, chicken, ribs and fish for the 6 of us to share. The chicken was fried just nice such that the skin was oh-so-crispy while the meat inside was not too dry. The fish meat was so soft and cooked just right that it seemed to melt in your mouth. As for the ribs, it came off the bone without much effort on our part and the sauce was great! For dessert, we had a banana split and...

Then there was the brownie with ice-cream. Actually, TWO servings of the brownie with ice-cream.

I didn't take a photo of it because it looked so good we just "attacked" it. I think there was a layer of fudge on top of the brownie with nuts inside. Topped with the vanilla ice-cream that was coated with more chocolate fudge, the warm brownie was absolutely sinful but sooooo delicious.

So, enough about food [I wish I could do the food better justice, describing all the dishes in a way that would make you want to go down to Billy Bomber's to try it yourself. I guess I'm just not cut out to be a food connoiseur, someone who can write food reviews ;)].

And the final, most important, group photo (Jien has many more):
