Fabulous Day
Despite the fact that I had to wake up early to reach church by 7.45am for warm-ups and all, we had relatively great praise & worship sessions at both services. I did make mistakes on the keybaords, that I completely regret, but overall, we did well as a band. Furthermore, we pulled off Hillsong's "His Love" really well for first-timers (to this song)! Yay, all the practice on Saturday morning was definitely worth it. I heard the song at such a high volume to pick out keyboard parts that after that I felt a leeeeetle deaf.
I may not have gotten the chance to have lunch with the 19-year-olds as per normal, but I met up with Jien! Finally, I've gotten my chance to go to a flea market with Tai Jien Jien. It was quite an experience! And I got stuff at quite a steal, Jien was quite proud of me. Now, just to tell you (and myself, because I just cannot believe I spent so little and got quite a few items), I got a pair of pants, a belt, a shirt, a dress-top and a pair of shoes (well, sort of shoes) for $33. In some documents I help to do up in the law firm, they would spell it out as Singapore dollar thirty three only.
Afterwards, we visited Tina! But, on the way to her workplace, we took a few photos as we walked through Raffles Hotel. Here's one:
Now, because my eyes were so small. Jien suggested we do the "square smile" (I think that's what she called it). Here's our square smiles for you to laugh at:
Laughed enough?:)
Anyhow, we surprised Tina at work and talked for about an hour, watching Tina serve customers and hang out with her colleagues at the cafe. Then Jien left at about 6pm when my parents came to have dinner with me. It was weird and yet cool to be served by Tina. Actually, more weird than anything lah. However, the food and drinks were good. My dad liked the serving size very much. As for me, I felt that my serving size was a little too big so I couldn't finish my plate of pasta. Later Tina told me that her manager asked if the food wasn't good because I'd left about half of the noodles uneaten. Tina told him that I'm just a small eater, to which her manager commented that Jien was skinny (oh-so-true).

To top it off, I had a short, fun SMS conversation with a friend who reminded me of SAJC's *weird/funny/scary/mad (*delete where appropriate) boy whom we called "Osama". I must make it clear that it is not that my friend is LIKE "Osama", rather this friend asked about "Osama". Just talking about how this "Osama" used to open the LT doors for us as we entered the lecture theatre for Math lectures brought back many good memories, and I wished I was back in school. Just a student hanging out with my fellow One-Thirders.
In general, there was much laughter and fun today...
