More January Babies

January has been a month of many birthdays. In the last weekend of the month of January, I celebrated the birthdays of 3 more January babies.

Celebrating Chris Seah & Joel's birthdays on 28 Jan (Fri)
Friday night's Prayer Concert marked the last Prayer Concert of the Prayer Focus month for the church. After the meeting had ended, we sang the happy birthday song and let Chris and Joel Chia blow out the cake's candle.

Celebrating Tina's 23rd Birthday on 29 Jan (Sat)
Tina's actual birthday was on 30 Jan. One-Third met the day before for brunch at this cafe called Artichoke. It is on Middle Road, opposite Fortune Centre. It is not a bad place if you want western breakfast/brunch. The desserts were also interesting, sweet for those who have a really sweet tooth.

Anyway, at 10:30am, Eugene and I met Tina to catch a cab down to the place. We stopped by Jien's house first to pick her up. Oh, and the moment Tina got into the cab, she followed our instructions obediently in putting on a blind fold so that it would be a little bit more mysterious as to where she was going to have a birthday brunch with us One-Thirders.Out of the cab, we had to walk for awhile as the taxi driver had stopped us a distance away from Artichoke. With blindfold still on, I hooked arms with Tina and guided her to the place, walking a little slower (but still not that slow actually), following Jien and Eugene as they tried to find their way to Artichoke. Tina really trusted me in that she was walking in step with me and she really let me guide her throughout. She did not even show any reluctance or whatever, and trusted me to tell her that there was a step in front or something like that... I'm so proud and privileged to have a friend like Tina:)

At the cafe, we waited a bit for everyone to assemble, and before we actually ordered.

We didn't wait long for the food to arrive after we placed our order. They had mash potatoes, eggs cooked in different styles, toast, sausages, salmon, etc.

Tina, the birthday girl! When we were done eating, the waitress brought out the "birthday date pudding" we had pre-ordered for Tina. I really liked the pudding, which was a surprise to me because I'm really not a date pudding kind of person... but I liked it! It wasn't too sweet, and there were nuts on top:)
We then ordered more dessert, which was a little too sweet for my liking.

Finally, we took at group photo before Eugene and I had to rush off to church for Youth prayer meeting.
