One-Third: Celebrating Andrew's Birthday

Yesterday night, we celebrated Andrew's 25th birthday by having a dinner at California Pizza Kitchen at Forum shopping centre at Orchard.

While waiting for everyone to arrive, I took photos of the people already there. In the left photo you see Bella and Julie. On the right, you see a very uncooperative Jien (it wasn't her best angle) and a blurry-looking Andrew because he was laughing and moved before the photo was captured.

By 7:30pm, all had arrived. We finally ordered, and not before long, the food was served! On the left, I think the name is Milan pizza? And on the right, chicken masala pasta. All not bad!

We also ordered the wild mushroom pizza, which was thin crust:On top of all this, we ordered the tortilla, which wasn't great because it was burnt. Andrew also went ahead and ordered another pasta (to which I didn't catch the name) and the cheeseburger pizza. Both, I didn't take photos. The cheeseburger pizza was good though! Really tasted like a burger on a pizza crust, which was rather cool! Bella was VERY amazed by it.

We then had a birthday brownie and vanilla ice-cream for Andrew:
On top of the brownie, Jien ordered a turtle sundae for all of us to share. It came in a big cup! 3 scoops of vanilla ice-cream, hot fudge, pecans and caramel:I'm not a big fan of caramel and I was feeling really full already so I didn't have much of it. It was nice though!

In the meantime, lots of conversation topics were covered. And at one point in time, Jien got all "worked up" (not really, but I can't think of a better, more appropriate word at the moment), she was sticking her spoon in the air as she asserted her point. We loved that moment and asked her to pose for photos in an effort to capture that moment/expression/spirit on camera.

And of course, a group photo before we left for our own homes:
