Thank you for all the mail!
You know, receiving snail-mail gives me such a FANTASTIC feeling? I'm slowly filling up my room's cork board with letters and postcards friends and family have been sending me. It is really so heartwarming to see familiar handwriting, familiar return addresses. Every other day, I see my name on the list of people who have mail to collect from the reception. My heart skips a beat when I see my name and I am reminded of how ridiculously privileged I am to be receiving proper mail (not bills or advertisements) when my hall mates say, "Mail AGAIN, Lynn?! I don't get ANY mail!"
Then there are the e-mails from my family and friends. The loooong ones filled with so much information about what is going on in good friends' lives, as I reply with MY long e-mail, and sometimes ranting, of what is going on over here. Every morning, I wake up and switch on my laptop hoping to receive yet another friendly e-mail that never fails to cheer me up.
I also mustn't forget the weekly trips (Yes, ONCE A WEEK EVERY WEEK ever since I started school!) I make to the post office in Beeston to send letters to people. The people working in the post office have now become familiar faces to me. I'm not sure if I've become a familiar face to them though. Hmm... I think next week I shall endeavour to make conversation with them and befriend them.
So, to those who have been sending me e-mails and snail-mails, thank you so much. It always cheers me up, makes my day so much better.
(To those who haven't been sending me anything when you OUGHT to be sending me something.... tsk tsk. haha)
