Oh Happy DAY!

The sun is out, shining very brightly and nicely. The temperature is LOVELY (in the range of 8-18 degrees celcius)! I only had 4 hours of sleep last night in a desperate bid to finish my preparation for my Constitutional (consti) law tutorial this morning. Yet right now, I still feel wide awake, eager to blog, eager to email friends...

Last night, I had my first Formal Dinner in FB. It was nice to see everyone all dressed up - the girls looking so pretty in their dresses and heels, the guy looking all dashing and more-handsome-than-usual in their suits... It got a little boring during the dinner though, because I was sitting between Oli, my neighbour, who didn't seem to want to talk to me much (maybe because there seems to be nothing to talk about), and Emmanuelle, a French girl, who has a very poor command of English so it can get quite tedious talking to her. Emmanuelle is a very nice girl though, so I tried my very best to make conversation with her and to get to know her better. I think it didn't help that I kept thinking of my Consti tutorial work that was waiting for me in the room.

So not long after they served dessert, I returned to my room at about 9:30pm and began on my work. I wasn't as productive as I usually am though, because Po Yew called me to vent his anger about a certain someone in "our Law Singaporean group of 6", then I talked online with Daniel on-and-off throughout the night until 2am.

Ok, the adults are probably shaking their head in disapproval now. Like, WHY AREN'T YOU CONCENTRATING ON YOUR WORK?!

Well, I still got my work done! I managed to answer all the questions discussed during the tutorial adequately too! And it was really fun talking to Daniel, I didn't really have the heart to stop. Somehow, talking to him also cheered me up somewhat. Such that now, even though I'm surviving on 4 hours of sleep, I'm still feeling surprisingly alert, awake and cheerful.

Oh and calming Po Yew down was something I was stuck with. Usually Po Yew would do all his bitching and venting on Angie, who would then tend to add fuel to the fires of anger in Po Yew by agreeing with him heartily. But Angie's boyfriend came down from Durham to spend the weekend with her so I think Po Yew couldn't talk to her long. He then talked to Daniel who calmed him down. Then he talked to ME to complete the "calming down process". Daniel and I really feel like we're caught in the middle. Daniel insists that he's Mr Neutral.

However, I will not trouble you with all these nonsensical quarrels and disputes between friends.

My first ever Consti tutorial was great! My tutor, Mr Kalpouzous, is a very very VERY nice tutor. I'm also getting to know 2 British girls in my tutorial group better. They really are easy to talk to actually. So, things are looking up, tutorial group-wise.

If I was using livejournal now, my mood at the end would be: Cheerful (strangely though, bec of the lack of sleep).
