HAPPY BIRTHDAY(in advance) JOLENE!
My best friend is FINALLY 18! Oh well, technically at least, because her birthday's only on the 27th, but since we've already celebrated it together, I already consider her as an official 18 year old:)
Now, to begin my recount of this successful event: I smsed Jolene to "chope" her one full week before the actual day, since I know Jolene as a very popular and busy person. I told her that Amy and I wanted to meet up with her to celebrate her birthday. What she wasn't aware of was that the other 18-year-olds were going to be there too.
She was going to meet Amy and I at Somerset MRT at 7.45pm. However, before that, Amy and I rushed down to town immediately after Youth Ablaze to buy the birthday badge from Toys'R'Us and a balloon from Party With Us.

The 2 main party planners in the cab on the way to Orchard
We gobbled down our dinner at Subway in Cineleisure, thinking Jolene would be on time. But, nope. The birthday girl had to be fashionably late. She only arrived at 8.15pm, at which we promptly presented her the birthday badge, something she had to wear the entire night.

Then we walked to Centrepoint and she had to ask for her balloon from the store assistant

We then began our walk to Plaza Sing. She didn't know where we were going though, I just told her that we were walking to a place where I reserved places for us to enjoy dessert together. And that she would be blindfolded the whole way there.

Jolene kept saying, "Oh my gosh so embarrassing", but I think Amy and I were even MORE embarrassed because we could SEE people staring or laughing at us, not Jolene.
The whole point in blindfolding her was to keep her in the dark of where we were going to. However, Amy and I were dumb enough to let slip of the direction we were walking in. Here's the short exchange that took place between the 3 of us:
Amy: Lynn, this is the place I was telling you about.
Lynn: OH... So you wanted to come here for dinner... Hmm... Orchard Hawker.
Jolene: OH! I know where we are now!
Lynn: Oh my gosh Amy, we're so dumb I tell you.
Soon enough, we reached Plaza Sing and Jolene was surprised!

Our present to her is actually a money-gift for "The Bag Fund". Jolene's looking for a dark brown leather tote bag but hasn't found the right one yet, so we're just contributing to the bag fund. The voucher was designed by Alekx!

And FINALLY:

A photo of the 2 of us! I'm really proud to say that we've known each other "from birth"! :)
