One-Third outing!
After Cross Country run today, we went to town and had lunch at Billy Bomber's. Oh gosh, we shouldn't have ordered one plate each because the servings are GIGANTIC. The mocha milkshake and cheese fries were delicious though. There, we also made a fool of ourselves singing and "grooving" to the songs playing in the restaurant (All these songs were Oldies). Bella recorded some hilarious moments during lunch using her handphone so I'm now just waiting for Sheryl to load it on her blog so I can "steal" it from her to put it here... ;)
After Billy Bomber's, we watched "Memoirs of a Geisha" at Cineleisure. The show was rather slow moving but still engaging. Michelle Yeoh was really cool as Zhang Ziyi's mentor in the movie. She was so elegant and smart, she looked so pretty in the kimonos as well. The other character I really fell for was "The Chairman" acted by Ken Watanabe. Yes, he can definitely be counted as an Old Man, but he was a complete charmer in the show! His relationship with Zhang Ziyi was rather scandalous because she fell in love with him when she was only 9 (I think), while he was probably in his.. 30s? They actually got together and "professed their love" for each other when she was in her early 20s, so that would make him... too old for her? Yes, so I only like the movie for Michelle Yeoh and charming Ken Watanabe (Although I think he looks like he's old enough to be my father?).
"Memoirs of a Geisha" was followed by shopping and tea at the Scotts food court, then home. You should have seen the whole group of us walking around. We were completely sian.
In general, I think the highlight of today's One-Third outing was our lunch at Billy Bomber's.
