Flashback: YPM Leaders' Retreat

For the record: this leaders' retreat was at Austin Hill, JB, from 1-2 January.

1st photo of the retreat. These are the 17-year-old girls who are YPM leaders. We took this while we were having lunch in the church canteen. It was the usual choices of either chicken, char siew or duck rice. The question "What do you want from 107?" is suddenly a MCQ with these 3 options...

After a sharing by my dad in the chapel, we left for Austin Hills! I was sitting in the car with Boon Yeow (Ah Kong), Faith, Kah Wan and driver Sean Huang. We arrived at Austin Hills safe and sound although there were a few moments when Boon Yeow kinda freaked out at Sean's driving skills. By the way, this is the shot of Boon Yeow and Sean from the backseat. :)

The passengers in the car to Austin Hills. I always seem to be stuck in the centre seat. Even back in Singapore when the whole family's travelling to dinner or something, the backseats of cars seems to have my name written all over them...

Here are shots we took in the hotel room I shared with Eliz, Faith and Christel. All the 17-year-old girls were present except for Amy. We had a guest star by the name of Stacia... She was our cell leader when we were Sec 2s... Boy, how time flies, now we're leaders ourselves!
All the sexy legs! ;)

The following are shots taken at supper!

Three-Quarters of the YPM Core Worship Team.Boon Yeow's missing bec he's the photographer.

ALL the 17-year-old YPM leaders! Oh wait. Alekx is missing. :(

Since we have shots of the 17-year-old gal leaders, here's one of the 17-year-old guys who are YPM leaders. :)

It was soon time to go home and I was sitting in the car with driver Jimmy, Eliz, Shu-En, Vennie and Joanne. Yes, there were 4 people sitting in the backseat. We were just waiting for the 8 cars in our convoy to meet up so we could leave for lunch after checking out of the hotel when we spotted this sign that has rather poor English.

Shouldn't it be "Thanks and please come again"?

Last shot of the retreat! Here's the 17-year-old girls once again just before we headed for our separate cars to either head back to Singapore or to do some shopping! Oh but actually Joanne's officially 18 already... Aiya have to change name. We're still trying to decide on one though... suggested ones so far have been "The 18-year-olds" or "The 88s". But I think we can come up with a better name for ourselves.

I went to this retreat with a few aims. And one of them was to spend loads of catching-up time with the 17-year-olds, especially the girls. I think we've remembered what it's like to hang out as one BIG 17-year-old group and it was great fun! Even though it was just a 2D1N retreat... it was fantastic! ;)
