First time booking out!

Today was the first time my brother booked out of camp, and the first time I saw him in uniform. heh. Here's a picture.

He actually posed for me 3 times, the first two shots were shaky so I had to take one using the flash, and produced this! I've such a patient brother! :)

Dinner that night was interesting. My brother told the family all the interesting events that happened in his first 2 weeks at camp while he was gobbling down LOADS of food. Now, you must understand that the whole family eats very very little rice every night. But this time, my brother took 2 large helpings of rice. I was amazed. He was practically ATTACKING the food! I really couldn't help but stare.

It was cool to have him back. Sunday he's going to have to report at Pasir Ris bus interchange to return to Pulau Tekong in the evening so we're going to have an early family dinner, then send him there. More guys in uniform! ;)

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. The sky is so blue, the sun is so bright, the grass is so green, the flowers are in full bloom... Forget about jackets. In Po Yew's words, which he said very happily, "The girls are wearing nothing!" Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
