"Goal!" a complete miss

For National Day celebrations in SAJC, my class was tasked to set up a game stall for this mini carnival we would be having in the morning before watching the concert. I guess this was planned purely to pass time because there was nobody there to finance our stall. Just think about it, the JC2s were involved in "the fiesty pursuit" while half of the JC1 cohort were busy painting pillars. Meanwhile, the remaining half of the JC1 cohort had to set up stalls, whether they be food or games. Doesn't that leave NO ONE to buy the food and play the games?!

My class game stall was named "Goal!", but only 4 people tried out our game. One of them didn't even count because that one was a classmate of mine who just wanted to make it seem like people actually tried our game. Take a look at our game stall.

Our game stall.

A closer look at the sign Tina, Stef and I did on Sunday. All the hard work! Didn't seem like it paid off!

Before our shift to man our class game stall, Tina and I took a walk down the row of stalls set up by other JC1 classes. Tina bought 3 pairs of earrings while I bought 2. Then we had our hands painted.

The butterfly was painted on Tina's hand by another person from the class in charge of the stall. While the words "Mrs Rafael Nadal" were painted by TALENTED me! ;)

As for me, I had a butterfly painted on my left wrist, while Hui Ling painted the words "SSC" on my hand as well.

Then after our shift had ended, Tina and I wanted to buy Potong ice-cream but it was already out of stock. So we tried buying Milo Freeze but dear Julie bought the last cup from the drink stall, so we ended up with strawberry-lime from the trusty fruit juice stall. Shortly afterwards, Julie and Bella joined us at a table we were sitting at. We then bought some food.

'ba zhang' and fried rice. They were cold and tasted a little funny but the 4 of us just shared these 2 dishes anyways

The concert had to be in the hall instead of on the track because it started raining heavily. The concert was quite entertaining even though one of the MCs was a leeetle annoying. There was a point in time when we had to sing "home" by Kit chan, led by the councillors. It was so funny because the JC2s started waving their Econs notes (they were having an Econs test aftewards) to the beat of the song. We found it really funny while some teachers laughed a little as well. Here's a picture.

Check out the econs notes held in the air!

The concert ended well with an enjoyable dance item by the Dance Society, then the whole thing was over. I had a SSC Exco meeting but afterwards, Julie and Tina came over to my house to watch "The Wedding Date". It was also a special day for me because I bought "Da Chang Jin"! Oh! What joy!
