05A41's Lit board

As part of one of our Lit teachers' project, each Lit class had to put up a board based on a list of choices offered to us. This project is called:

Snippets of Literature. Don't you think the font is really nice? I think it's handwritten!

My class, or more like, Tina our Lit rep, decided on a category and grouped the class into 5 groups so that we could split up the workload.

As for our class, we chose Children's literature

When it came to the time for us to put up everything, we did it quickly so as to save time. But the lit teacher smsed Tina that same day, telling her that our board was too plain and we had to re-do it. She even mentioned something about our board looking "secondary school-ish". Why, what an "appropriate" word...

So that night, Tina and I re-did almost everything... to come up with THIS!

I don't think it looks THAT secondary school-ish already, RIGHT?

It must be taken down on the 12th of August though, what a pity...

Random #1: SUMMER HAS COME EARLY! The weather these few days have been AWESOME. After Monday lectures, Po Yew, Janice and I made a quick trip to the Millenium Gardens just next to Law School to take photos. The sky is so blue, the sun is so bright, the grass is so green, the flowers are in full bloom... Forget about jackets. In Po Yew's words, which he said very happily, "The girls are wearing nothing!" Magical Christmas 2009 has come 11 months early

It has been snowing most of today, and everything is covered in snow - a beautiful, magical, pretty sight! It really is unbelievable how much snow there now is in Nottingham. Because it's Nottingham! It never snows in Nottingham, at least not for many many years past! Even in London, I heard that it's snowing so much that Heathrow airport was closed, train and tube services were stopped, SCHOOL LESSONS WERE CANCELLED! Why can't we have classes cancelled over here?! When I first woke up, I knew it would snow at certain points of today (but I didn't expect THIS much snow!). Like some Airline video

I just watched the 3+ minutes of the "final chapter" of Little Nyonya, the Channel 8 drama serial that ended last week. [Spoiler alert] I think it is so unnecessary? Anyhow, from the time of 2:59 onwards, I felt like I was watching some kind of Airline video, the one where they would show before the airplane takes off, briefing all passengers on what to do in cases of emergencies and stuff like that? Seeing Chen Xi stand behind Yueniang like that reminds me of when the air stewards and stewardesses on the video would end the video saying, "Thank you for your attention. Have a pleasant flight." Don't you think so? On the topic of Little Nyonya, I read an article from Mediacorp TV about this "Final Chapter" and I really wonder why people are making so much noise over a drama serial such that Mediacorp people have to step out to make further explanation!
