Recovering
To all who are in the knowledge of me feeling unwell, I would just like to let you know that I am slowly recovering. My voice has somewhat returned, except that it is still a little hoarse. Also, my throat no longer hurts like hell when I swallow. However, my nose is still very blocked and I still have quite a phlegm-y cough. As mentioned at the end of my previous entry, I had every intention of making an appointment with a doctor at the beginning of this week with the hope of getting antibiotics or something like that, but Angie told me that the doctors here are excessively reluctant to prescribe antibiotics to people unless the people are showing near-death symptoms: "Oh, you're coughing until your chest hurts and you've been coughing this severely for the past few weeks, even close to a month? Oh don't worry, you've just got a cough. Here's some cough syrup. Drink lots of water, get more rest, and you'll be fine" - What a doctor here can tell you.
So, yes, I'm just continuing in my attempts to self-medicate. At least I'm showing signs of recovery... It's been too long already actually. I think it has been about three weeks now, since this silly flu bug started to bug me.
As to what I've been up to this week, I have been making it a point to sleep by 11pm every night, waking up at 7am to bathe and have breakfast with Tzen before returning to my room to... watch videos on the internet:) Of course, I've been attending my lectures faithfully, save for that one lecture I skipped on Tuesday to come back and sleep because I really was feeling quite unwell. I just completed the TVB drama serial "识法代言人" last night. I decided that I will start up on the frantic reading and preparation for tutorials next week.
This week, I'm going to sleep more and just relax a bit more, indulge a little bit.
And... the weekend is just around the corner. Just great. What is there to do here in Nottingham?!
