It's February! (New MONTH's resolution?)
Yesterday, every time I wrote the date on my lecture notes I would turn to the person sitting next to me, which always seemed to be Janice, and say, "It is ALREADY February!" I know I keep repeating this phrase but, I just cannot help saying it, time is FLYING PAST us!
At Sukho Thai for dinner on Sunday, the week before last (the day that Erica and Ryan left).
Well, now that we have entered this new month of year 2008, I resolved to start running regularly again. So this morning, I woke up, had a cup of milo and a muesli bar, stretched, then jogged around the lake. The temperature was zero degree celsius, what with this weekend being a particularly cold one, so I actually put on my thermal wear under a tee and hoodie, and out I went. When I first woke up, I checked the temperature and found it to be in the negative! But I told myself that I cannot procrastinate anymore, and so I went anyway.
One problem though, I left my track shoes back home in Singapore. As a result, I had to jog in my sneakers, which, I think, did not give me enough support so after doing one round around the lake, which took me about 15 minutes, my right ankle was hurting! I wanted to do another round but I was worried about the ankle so I returned to the hall. I need to get track shoes! Last night, I was asking my female hall mates whether they had track shoes to lend me if they were of the same shoe size as me, but they were either of a smaller size than me, or had no track shoes. I must go into the city centre and see how much track shoes cost here. I am determined to start up on regular running again!
In other more random matters, I had a Constitutional law lecture on Thursday that began with Professor Mowbray showing us an article of a judicial review case that took place IN NOTTINGHAM! You can read it here. I just found it very, very cool that what we were learning now in lectures was taking place in real life here in Nottingham, the very place I am studying in now! (It's ok if you are not as excited as me about this.)
I will end off this rather incoherent entry with photos taken recently:
