Weekend Recap
Here's a quickie on one of my crazier weekends:-
Friday
One whole day of school ended at 2.45 with my rushing off to change for Sports Club's Windsurfing session 1 at the National Sailing Centre. It was after about 2 hours of real fun and half an hour of bathing and washing up that I found myself on the chartered bus back to Potong Pasir, panicking about whether I could get back home in time to reach church at 7pm. It proved unlikely because I REACHED home at 7pm. Then it was a mad rush to church to practise a song item and worship practice for the central equipping that was due to begin at 8pm. I did backup, sang my song item (of which my sister told me tonight, that my BAND LEADER said I did really well! She even said something about sounding like Sarah McLaughlan? YAY! The ultimate compliment I always want to hear is always from my band leader!), then went for prata supper. SLEEP.
Saturday
My morning began with breakfast with Doraemon, then I practised my piano and had lunch before going to church at 1 for worship prac. I stayed in church till 7. Off to dinner at Marina Square where my dad redeemed the Osim UZap (most interesting thing on earth at present). Watched "So Close" on channel 19 after dinner and, the ending's really sad! It reminded me of the question I always ask my friends out of boredom: "Isn't it so sad when your girlfriend/boyfriend dies? It's not as if you'll receive any recognition because you're not married to her/him. There's high chances as well that you won't be the first to know of her/his death too..." Shu Qi is SUPER COOL in "So Close".
Sunday
I could actually wake up at NINE on a SUNDAY MORNING and even read the newspaper at a leisurely pace! The feeling was heavenly. It was off to church then corporate prayer meeting, where I played the keyboard for about one and half hours straight (Thank God it's over), which was followed by Leaders meeting, finally ending at 5. Dinner was another fantastic experience. My family tried out this new Japanese restaurant at Wheelock place. The food was terrific and the service efficient and good! Especially the dessert, it's to die for. We expected it to be more expensive than Kuriya at Great World City, but it was MUCH cheaper! Maybe because we ordered alot less than usual. Then HOME SWEET HOME (where I used the UZap for the first time since we got it, my sister has already used it THRICE today. It's really ticklish but feels good. I'm expecting a flatter tummy now! heh heh).
Right now... it's homework for me. :(
