Tomorrow: Exam No. 2 of 7

Image
My first exam yesterday, Civil Litigation Procedure, was alright. The question was relatively straightforward, but ridiculously long. All of us were scribbling away furiously because there were just too many issues to tackle in the 2 hours given to us. I should be able to pass this paper, which is really good enough already, since I'm assessed on a pass-fail-distinction basis. Tomorrow, the Part B Exams continue. The second paper: Family Law Practice. At 10am. And we are all boxed up! God, please let everything go well tomorrow! Especially when I have to call a cab to get to the exam venue!

The End Begins

Tomorrow, I begin the Part B Exams. The first paper: Civil Litigation Procedure. At 10am. I am ready (for the Civil Litigation Procedure exam)! Just look at how I've packed it all into my 'box'! BRING IT ON. (Not liking the exam venue though... Victoria School... Sigh, if only it was somewhere more central!)

Homebody Happenings: General about to go off for his walk!

Image
Yesterday evening, Miming called me on my handphone and asked me to look outside my window. This is what I see everyday when I pull the blinds up and study in my room: Now, focus in on the left corner of the green field... There's Miming and General!! Miming asked me to look outside to see my handsome dog-dog standing there, looking around, just waiting to move off to begin his walk:)

Entire Day About Church - 19 Nov

Image
Last Saturday, I was in church from 10am to 7.30pm. At 10am, our annual Youth Leaders' Review and Planning meeting began at room 303. As people arrived, I got a photo of all these cool men (and woman) in black (and jeans combi) - the "lao jiang"s amongst the youth leaders - don't play-play!:D The leaders meeting lasted until 3pm. We hung around till 4pm, when Youth Ablaze began. It was so good to have Kah Wan and James back to join us, especially James. When I entered the room for cell discussion after the sermon, I found this amusing set up: Throughout the cell discussion, we were calling James "Prof Low" because it felt like he was conducting a lecture on his life in Australia. Pei Fen, Ching Yee and I were all quite happy to just let him talk and run the whole thing I think!:) We finally left church at about 7.30pm when everybody had assembled at the foyer, ready to leave for dinner. At James' request, we headed for a dinner of frog porridge! It...

All Things General: With Sally Hanson

Image
Last week, I finally finished a bottle of Sally Hanson's nail polish remover. It felt like a waste to just throw it into the rubbish bin, so Miming and I decided to let General play with it instead. As he doesn't like to play, sit or lie in wet areas, and his usual play areas were all still drying out, he stayed in the box, and played around with the bottle, restricted in the box. It's really amusing!

Happy 23rd Birthday, Shu-En!

Image
Yesterday night, a group of us met up for homecooked Chinese food at Eugene's house. Before that, Alekx came to pick me and Larissa up from my house at 7pm. Then we went to Shu-En's house to pick the birthday girl up. On the instructions of Elizabeth, we were supposed to blindfold her, and Larissa lent us this really cute blindfold for Shu-En to use: When I checked with Eliz, she told me that Shu-En knew we were meeting, but she didn't know where. What I didn't know was that, due to a slip-up on their part, Shu-En actually already knew that we were going to Eugene's house. Alekx, Lala and myself, didn't know that. So when Shu-En asked if we were going to Eugene's house, the 2 kept quiet while I just kept going, "Only God knows!" Also, while we picked Shu-En up at 7:10pm, and could have easily reached Eugene's house in 10 minutes, Alekx went on a really big detour that only saw us arriving at the carpark at Eugene's house at about 7:35pm....

No longer the only thorn amongst the roses

Image
With Eugene's return to Singapore upon completion of his semester's exchange in Mauritius, Joel is no longer the only thorn amongst the roses when we hang out on weekends! On Saturday (12 Nov), after the Youth Prayer Concert and Blazing Trail (aka Youth Church's version of a prayer walk), we all went to Thai Express at Heartland Mall for dinner. I think I speak for everybody when I say I'm soooo thankful the prayer concert turned out great! Our very first event that we organised as the "1988 batch" (since we're all born in the year of 1988). THANK GOD!!
