Happy 23rd Birthday, Shu-En!

Yesterday night, a group of us met up for homecooked Chinese food at Eugene's house. Before that, Alekx came to pick me and Larissa up from my house at 7pm. Then we went to Shu-En's house to pick the birthday girl up.

On the instructions of Elizabeth, we were supposed to blindfold her, and Larissa lent us this really cute blindfold for Shu-En to use:
When I checked with Eliz, she told me that Shu-En knew we were meeting, but she didn't know where. What I didn't know was that, due to a slip-up on their part, Shu-En actually already knew that we were going to Eugene's house. Alekx, Lala and myself, didn't know that. So when Shu-En asked if we were going to Eugene's house, the 2 kept quiet while I just kept going, "Only God knows!" Also, while we picked Shu-En up at 7:10pm, and could have easily reached Eugene's house in 10 minutes, Alekx went on a really big detour that only saw us arriving at the carpark at Eugene's house at about 7:35pm. At that time, Shu-En thought we'd change the location to somewhere further away, and that we weren't going to Eugene's house anymore.

At the carpark at Eugene's house:
Before Shu-En got into the car, we were discussing when we were going to remove the blindfold. We knew that Shu-En would know we were in the lift of a HDB block the moment she got in. Lala actually suggested we walk her up the stairs to Eugene's house - ELEVEN STORIES UP! In the end, we just got her to climb to the 2nd floor, then we took the lift to the 11th floor.
At Eugene's house - by then she already knew we were definitely at Eugene's house:
Eliz wanted us to take a jumpshot with Shu-En all blindfolded, but the shots were quite a failure... haha. It was fun trying though!

He Li then came up with the idea that Shu-En should guess whose hand she was touching while blindfolded. When Shu-En touched He Li's hands, she said, "Wah how come these hands so hot one?!" He Li's face went all red at that!
At my turn, she started feeling upwards, AND ALMOST TOUCHED MY CHEST. Hence Lala's laughing face because I was recoiling and putting my hands together to protect myself
Shu-En was actually really good in feeling and guessing whose hands she was feeling. When we tried to throw her off by making her feel the hands of 2 different people at the same time, she could tell rather immediately and guessed correctly whose hands she was touching.
We finally got down to eating. With Elizabeth's help, Eugene cooked dinner for us:
Elizabeth's attempt at a self-shot - we are missing Joanne and Joel in this photo because they only came much later:
We ate, and laughed, and talked, and played a simple Q&A game with Shu-En as the star. It was a great time and we only left at about 10plus I think?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHU-EN!
