Birds...

Today, I came to the conclusion that birds and I just don't get along...

2 weeks ago, on the Thursday morning after we arrived back from Israel, I heard loud chirping noises and I convinced myself it wasn't coming from immediately above me in my room and it was actually from outside. That night, I came back and distinctly heard the chirping noises. Again the next moment, it was very clearly and unmistakably above me, in my ceiling of my room.

My mum called our usual guy who is a pest controller. He said they don't deal with bird control and recommended Master Mark. 2 guys came to view (and hear) the situation and said they will only come to clear the place on Monday. They didn't think the bird would die over the weekend.

That weekend, I slept in my brother's room and thank God I did because the birds found their way the other side to my sister's room. They stood on the air con vents and shit into the bench immediately below.

The scratching moving and chirping sounds over the weekend and on Monday (because it was raining so they postponed the works to Tuesday) were just disgusting and annoying to me.

Finally on Tuesday it wasn't raining so they fumigated and sealed up the place. For the next few days my mum, Miming and I were all paranoid and thought there were birds still stuck inside. They also spotted birds sitting outside my room on the ledge, as if wondering how they could get back to their nest.

Disgusting ah...

Tonight, I had just arrived home from work and put down my bag on the sofa. My mum and I were just walking over to the dining table when we heard a REALLY loud thud from our glass side door. A bird had flown into it. It was just sitting there, shaking slightly from side to side. We thought it was just groggy.

About 5 minutes later, I went back to have a look with General because I wanted to see his response to the bird sitting there. But the bird had gone into the corner and my dad thought it was just trying to protect itself in the meantime.

About 15 minutes later, my dad went to check again and... It had rolled onto its back with feet in the air.

After about another 15 minutes later when Miming came back from her walk with General, she went out and confirmed that the bird was really dead. I refused to go have a look at the dead bird. Recently there have just been 1 too many (ok so there has only been 2 incidents, but still) bird events happening around me at home.

I really don't like birds. One has shit on me before and I just can't stand how they shit all over the place. And they flap their wings and fly so low like they're going to fly into you...

Please God, no more...
