10th Weekend just passed

I'm into my 11th week here in Nottingham now. The weather has been relatively warmer, with temperatures between five to ten degrees celcius. This week's forecast is even warmer actually, with temperatures actually hitting numbers with double digits! You know, we always are amazed at how we now think a temperature like eight degrees celcius is warm when, back home in Singapore, we would think sixteen degrees celcius is too cold for us to take.

But, I'm here to tell you about my weekend.

So on Friday night, I ate dinner with Tzen in the hall and ended up hanging out with John, Po Yew and Daniel. Daniel had wanted to go out for dinner, but I had to eat with Tzen because if I didn't eat with her, she would be "alone" in the dining hall. So I ate with Tzen and was considering whether to join the guys or not, because (1) I'd already eaten dinner, but they were trying to persuade me to just sit there, watch them eat and just talk to them, and (2) I would be the only girl with three guys as Angie was spending time with her boyfriend, Jon, who had come down from Durham just for her, yet again.

I ended up spending most of the night with the three guys, following them around. During dinner, they kept talking about NS stuff, which was fine by me because it was actually quite interesting. After dinner, they wanted to go have drinks, so, again, I went around with them. And we were just talking about who-knows-what, although we had the tendency of returning to NS topics, something I wasn't surprised at because I was hanging out with three Singaporean guys who had gone through NS. What else could they talk about.

Saturday: I was supposed to go over to Jubilee to study with Daniel but in the end I was lazy and he wanted to nap. I ended up working in Erica's room while Daniel ended up napping the whole afternoon away. We met for dinner though, because the Singaporeans were meeting up at this Chinese buffet place called Flaming Dragon to celebrate Daniel's 21st birthday (Actual day is today, 3rd December).

[All the photos you see were taken with Denise's camera. I was too lazy to take out my own camera when Denise's and Po Yew's were already out. Po Yew has the nicer, not-candid photos, but he is taking, and always takes, forever to upload them. So you can only view the candid ones from Denise's camera for now.]

After dinner, we headed back to the main campus and plonked ourselves down in The Mix at Hugh Steward hall. There, we had drinks and cut the cake we got for Daniel which looked like two boobs. Sigh, it was all Yang's idea actually, when he was looking for a cake with Denise that afternoon. Oh well, for all it's worth, it was funny.

Sunday: I had every intention to go to church in the evening, but by 4pm, I was only half-done with my Contract Law essay due the next day (today, Monday, 3rd Dec). So I gave church another miss. However, when I was done with my essay at about 8pm, I went to LSBC's website and downloaded the recording of one of my dad's messages that he preached in church in October. Wow, I really miss LSBC, the message, the worship...

Oh well. I did work for abit after that, before Tzen came over to my room to watch an episode of House. Then we looked at a few more houses available for rent before I went to bed at 2am.

And it's a Monday again.
