Last 2 weeks of Year 2013

Image
The last 2 weeks of 2013 have been good. FULL of eating, and there definitely must be some mention of the Christmas presents I got... So in a haphazard and random manner I'm just going to talk based on whatever photos I've uploaded in this entry... Eugene as I/C of Christmas Drama Production Eugene was in charge of the Christmas drama production this year. Elizabeth was the adviser. I tried to carry out the role of the girlfriend as best as I could without being too big of a busybody. One highlight of this whole experience was the prata supper I had with Eugene and Elizabeth after one of the Christmas productions. I say it is a highlight to me because I have been craving for a prata supper for the longest time now! Also, because Eugene was SO busy with the drama production, I ended up preparing most of our Christmas presents, e.g. his presents to his cell group members... Cell meetup (21st) We have been making it a point to meet up on a weekly basis. There ...

Christmas Photo of the Family

Image
It is customary for us to take a family photo and a photo of all the presents before we open our presents together on Christmas day. This year, we included General in the photo, because he just kept barking away, which reminded us of his existence as part of the family (not that any reminder is needed, really). So we put him on a leash and got him in! Before that, I changed out of my dress and tied up my hair, in preparation for war with a hyperactive dog. We leashed him up, brought in the food. And I pinned him down with my legs. Everyone quickly gathered around General and myself, and the shot was taken beautifully by Miming. Note how General is just STARING intently at the food on the table though. Such a greedy pig, I mean dog. What a pity Edmund is not in Singapore to take this photo with us.

POST EXAMS ACTIVITIES #2: Reading & Christmas Prep!

On Monday night, I finished one of my dad's books: It's a really REALLY interesting book and very easy to read. A big eye opener to the conflict between Palestine and Israel. I've also been writing Christmas cards and wrapping presents I've already bought for people. Today, I wrote all the cards to be sent to my overseas friends:

Christmas 2010 Part 2

Image
25 December 2010, Saturday I was involved in last year's Christmas musical - no acting or singing or dancing role. I just played the keyboard for one song. I was on stage, in the shadows, for less than 5 minutes. I doubt many people even realised my involvement! I did it anyway because Elizabeth was the lead actress and the scriptwriter and kinda like the person-in-charge (together with Wan Hui) for this musical. It was really last minute and every thing was just so rushed. Eliz and Wan Hui were supposed to be the directors but they took on roles themselves so while they were acting on stage, they needed people to give feedback. I took on that small, invisible role. I attended every practice, rushing down to church after work, even though I was only playing one song, just so I could help give feedback and see if I could help in other small ways. This is one of the hospital scenes in the musical: I took this photo during our rehearsal on Saturday (Christmas day) morning. Then I rush...
